Cooksville
Backyard Parking Pad
A gravel area that turned soft every spring became one poured pad. Soil excavated, gravel base compacted for drainage, wire mesh through the pour, then 5 inch concrete with a broom finish for grip in winter.
Mississauga runs from century old lakeside streets to subdivisions finished last decade, and no single method suits both. Valiant Concrete Finishing builds backyard patios, parking pads, front steps, walkways and structural slabs for homeowners and businesses here, prepared and reinforced for the property it is actually going on. Our work runs through Port Credit, Streetsville, Cooksville, Erin Mills, Meadowvale and Lorne Park.
Real jobs, real neighbourhoods.
Cooksville
A gravel area that turned soft every spring became one poured pad. Soil excavated, gravel base compacted for drainage, wire mesh through the pour, then 5 inch concrete with a broom finish for grip in winter.
Streetsville
The homeowner wanted usable space between the house and the fence line. We excavated, compacted a gravel base, formed to the property line, laid wire mesh and placed 5 inch concrete with a banded edge finish.
Port Credit
Crumbling steps at the side door were removed and rebuilt. New footings below frost depth, formed and reinforced, then poured with even risers and a landing that ties into the existing walkway.
Three things that decide whether a Mississauga slab lasts.
Two Kinds of Property
South of the QEW you are working around older homes, mature trees and roots, and whatever was poured decades ago. Out west the lots are newer, wider and built on fill. We price and build for the property in front of us instead of applying one method everywhere.
Permits & The Bylaw
Replacing a driveway in its existing footprint is usually fine. Widening it, extending onto the boulevard, or hard surfacing more of the front yard falls under the City's driveway and lot coverage rules. We tell you which category your job is in at the estimate, before you have paid anyone.
Frost
Steps poured on grade lift and separate from the house after a couple of winters. Anything structural we build gets footings below frost depth so the steps stay tied to the entrance instead of moving away from it.
We install concrete driveways, patios, slabs, walkways and garage floors for homeowners and businesses throughout Mississauga and the surrounding Greater Toronto Area.
It changes the build. South of the QEW we are working around older homes, mature trees and whatever was poured decades ago. Out west the lots are newer and built on fill that is still settling. We price and prepare for the property in front of us rather than applying one method everywhere.

Because they were poured on grade with no footing. Frost lifts them a little every winter and they never go all the way back. Anything structural we build gets footings below frost depth so the steps stay tied to the entrance.
Usually, and it is common on side yard slabs here. What matters is where the water goes afterward, since a slab pitched the wrong way sends runoff onto your neighbour. We set the fall before we form.
Priced by measured square footage rather than a flat rate. We measure on site and quote off that number, and published pricing by size is on our pricing pages.
We can match the elevation and the finish closely, but not the colour. New concrete cures lighter and takes a year or more to weather toward what is already there. Anyone promising an exact colour match on day one is guessing.
Across the city, including Port Credit, Streetsville, Cooksville, Erin Mills, Meadowvale and Lorne Park, along with the surrounding GTA.
